Global Facility Solutions Performed a Retro-Commissioning Project for Harford County Public Schools
Global Facility Solutions performed a Retro-Commissioning project for Harford County Public Schools at Hickory Elementary School in Bel Air, MD. The turn-key RCx project was implemented under the BGE Smart Energy Savers program for Building Tune-ups.
GFS secured a $30,000 incentive from BGE to offset 75% of the cost associated the project.
GFS performed all aspects of the planning, investigation and implementation for the project, including the hiring of subcontractors. The RCx project included the investigation of central plant HVAC systems (former BAC ice plant), zone/terminal devices, and Johnson Controls Metasys DDC Controls. GFS performed functional performance testing on the building automation controls, central AHU controls, and the central chiller plant controls.
